GGAS vs SISC: Behind the scenes
An Inside Look Into The Senior Boys' First Win
In response, the team went back to the drawing board and constructed plays, studied films, and ran drills in practice to develop a system as a team whilst relearning the fundamentals such as shooting, passing, and lay ups. This paired with stretching played an additional role to compensate for their opponents’ overwhelming experience in competition.
Moreover, Dav Bunthai, our power forward, significantly contributed with his sheer confidence and strength to catch rebounds, a factor that the team initially struggled with. Ung Navy Chanden, who mainly played shooting guard, seemed to maintain his rhythm to knock down multiple three pointers throughout the game.
As a result, the team’s point guard Hong Sonavidel acquired the tools to lead plays and efficiently make space with his phenomenal dribbling. Here is a video-clip showcasing his talent!
Finally, this is the transcript of a recent interview with the man himself, reflecting on his thoughts on the game against SISC.
“4 hours of sleep, no breakfast and to be honest, I had no expectations about the outcome, I was just there to play the game.”

4. How do you keep the team motivated in a game where you’re so far ahead?
"By motivating them and tell them to go hard on every possession"
5. What lessons do you take from this game as you prepare for future opponents?
"We must come together as a team, be on the same page and make adjustments based on how our opponents play the game" With a questionable pre-game preparation, it seems that the Jaguars' victory was not just a result of individual talent, but their ability to adapt and finding their rhythm as a disciplined unit.
Nonetheless, our senior teams are eager to carry this momentum into their future games, ready to take on fierce competition. Go Jaguars!
